Factoids: The centerpiece of the town, the YMCA building is a 2-story, red brick structure (Building No. 10) dedicated August 17, 1917, and still stands today.
The YMCA was designed by architect William W. Stickney for the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company (CF&I).
It was used as the community gathering place and recreation center until 1966 when it was converted to CF&I offices.
